Blue Wallpapers for Desktop — 16:9

20 images of Blue Wallpapers for Desktop (16:9) in high resolution. Free download, with the author and licence of every picture.

On a 27 inch monitor the same picture occupies twice the physical area, and the fine detail that looked good on a laptop starts to look soft. The images here are published wide enough to stay sharp at 2560 pixels, with a composition that fills a large panel without leaving dead space on either side.

This page gathers 20 images from the Blue Wallpapers collection, chosen because they are composed in portrait, the orientation the Desktop screen uses (16:9). Every one of them is taller than it is wide, so the system crops almost nothing when it fills the screen.

The full files run from 1920 × 1200 to 1920 × 1440 pixels, and every card states the exact ratio of its own picture so you can check the framing before downloading. Your Desktop runs at 2560 × 1440 pixels, so a larger file is scaled down with no visible loss.

The list includes, among others, Boats on the Mekong with dark clouds and blue sky in the late afternoon in Luang Prabang Laos, Li Phi falls at dusk with colorful sky and clouds in Don Khon Laos, Water reflection of mountains and hut in a paddy field with blue sky in Vang Vieng, Laos, Water reflection of a green island at sunrise with blue sky and pirogue in Don Det Laos.

The images are ordered by how recently they were added rather than by popularity, which keeps the collection fresh and gives every single entry a chance to be discovered by search engines and by image browsers.

All of the files are served from our own domain, which means they load fast, they can be indexed by Google Images and Bing Images, and they stay available even if the original source moves the file.
