Cute Wallpapers: Soft, Bright and Happy in 4K

Free cute wallpapers in 4K. Download happy, soft and playful backgrounds for phone, tablet and desktop, ready for a lock screen.

This collection is built around rounded shapes, bright colour and a friendliness that works on a lock screen you check fifty times a day, and that is the whole point of it. Playful, warm and impossible to take seriously, and the palette leans candy pastels, cream and a pop of saturated colour. The images were chosen for the way they behave at full screen rather than for the way they look as a thumbnail, which is the difference between a wallpaper that disappears behind your icons and one that still holds your attention after a week. Every file is served from our own domain in three sizes, with the author, the licence and the real pixel dimensions attached, so nothing is a surprise after you click download.

If you want a specific look, use the filters and the tags under each section. Narrowing by colour, device or mood is faster than scrolling, and the tag pages link to every related picture so you never hit a dead end.

Every picture below was checked for resolution, framing and compression artefacts before it was published, so what you download is the version you saw in the thumbnail. Open any card to see the full metadata, the licence and the download link.

The images are ordered by how recently they were added rather than by popularity, which keeps the collection fresh and gives every single entry a chance to be discovered by search engines and by image browsers.

The collection currently includes, among others, Cute cat in loaf position, Cat Cute, A tower cat in a cat tower.
