Asos Sunset Wide View sea wallpaper Full HD

This is Asos Sunset Wide View, a cold sea wallpaper built around near-black and charcoal tones. The frame is composed for 4:3, which is why it reads well on desktop without pushing the subject out of shot.

Everything you can see is part of the original file: 1920 × 1281 pixels in JPG (314 KB). Nothing is upscaled, and the colours were sampled straight from the picture, so what you download is what you saw in the grid.

The palette leans towards near-black and charcoal, and that makes it easy to build an interface around it. An ultrawide monitor works particularly well here, because the tones never fight with whatever you put in front of them.

Setting it up

To use it, download the file, open it on your device and choose the option to set it as the background. If your system crops the edges, use the 4:3 version from the collection or turn the zoom off so the full frame stays visible.

Small details that help

• Pair it with a system accent colour that matches near-black and charcoal so the wallpaper and the interface read as one design instead of two.
• For a dual-monitor setup, use this one on the screen you read from and a flatter image on the screen you only glance at.
• On a phone, place the subject in the upper half so your clock and notification stack do not cover the focal point.

What you get

The download is a 1920 × 1281 JPG image in 4:3 ratio (314 KB). Use it on a desktop, print it at up to 20 × 30 cm, or crop it for a post: the source resolution gives you room to crop without losing quality.
