Makari's Whiskers edit1 animal wallpaper Full HD

This is Makari's Whiskers edit1, a calm animal wallpaper built around slate and sage green tones. The frame is composed for 4:3, which is why it reads well on tablet without pushing the subject out of shot.

Everything you can see is part of the original file: 1920 × 1536 pixels in JPG (704 KB). Nothing is upscaled, and the colours were sampled straight from the picture, so what you download is what you saw in the grid.

The palette leans towards slate and sage green, and that makes it easy to build an interface around it. A nature print works particularly well here, because the tones never fight with whatever you put in front of them.

How to use it

To use it, download the file, open it on your device and choose the option to set it as the background. If your system crops the edges, use the 4:3 version from the collection or turn the zoom off so the full frame stays visible.

Styling tips

• Pair it with a low-contrast wallpaper on your phone so that app icons remain readable over the busiest part of the image.
• Pair it with a system accent colour that matches slate and sage green so the wallpaper and the interface read as one design instead of two.
• In a video call, this works well as a virtual background if you keep the subject clear of the frame edges.

Download options

You get a 1920 × 1536 JPG file (4:3, 704 KB). It is large enough for a tablet screen and for printing up to 8 × 10 in, and it is compressed for the web so that it still loads quickly on a mobile connection.
