Mokelumne Peak Dec 2021 mountain snow wallpaper Full HD

This is Mokelumne Peak Dec 2021, a bright mountain snow wallpaper built around sky blue and sand tones. The frame is composed for 16:9, which is why it reads well on phone without pushing the subject out of shot.

Everything you can see is part of the original file: 1920 × 1080 pixels in JPG (853 KB). Nothing is upscaled, and the colours were sampled straight from the picture, so what you download is what you saw in the grid.

The palette leans towards sky blue and sand, and that makes it easy to build an interface around it. A cold study environment works particularly well here, because the tones never fight with whatever you put in front of them.

Setting it up

To use it, download the file, open it on your device and choose the option to set it as the background. If your system crops the edges, use the 16:9 version from the collection or turn the zoom off so the full frame stays visible.

How to make the most of it

• For a dual-monitor setup, use this one on the screen you read from and a flatter image on the screen you only glance at.
• Pair it with a system accent colour that matches sky blue and sand so the wallpaper and the interface read as one design instead of two.
• If you use it on a laptop, dim the desktop icons slightly; a busy wallpaper competes with small text more than with large text.

Download options

You get a 1920 × 1080 JPG file (16:9, 853 KB). It is large enough for a phone screen and for printing up to 8 × 10 in, and it is compressed for the web so that it still loads quickly on a mobile connection.
