On a 27 inch monitor the same picture occupies twice the physical area, and the fine detail that looked good on a laptop starts to look soft. The images here are published wide enough to stay sharp at 2560 pixels, with a composition that fills a large panel without leaving dead space on either side.

This page gathers 15 images from the Nature & Landscape Wallpapers collection, chosen because they are composed in portrait, the orientation the Desktop screen uses (16:9). Every one of them is taller than it is wide, so the system crops almost nothing when it fills the screen.

The full files run from 1920 × 1234 to 1920 × 1280 pixels, and every card states the exact ratio of its own picture so you can check the framing before downloading. Your Desktop runs at 2560 × 1440 pixels, so a larger file is scaled down with no visible loss.

The list includes, among others, Baspa Valley at Sangla, Himachal Pradesh, India, Zagedan Lakes, Mountain cirque, Caucasus Mountains, Balancing rock, Atsgara Valley, Mount Zagedan, Caucasus Mountains, Atsgara Valley, Caucasus Mountains.

If you want a specific look, use the filters and the tags under each section. Narrowing by colour, device or mood is faster than scrolling, and the tag pages link to every related picture so you never hit a dead end.

All of the files are served from our own domain, which means they load fast, they can be indexed by Google Images and Bing Images, and they stay available even if the original source moves the file.
