Horse Wallpapers: Field, Forest and Frozen Paddock in 4K

Free 4K horse wallpapers. Download galloping horses, portrait close-ups and wild herd photography for desktop and phone.

If you have been hunting for a specific kind of background, you will probably end up here. This set is muscle and movement: a horse caught mid-stride, mane loose, with the whole field moving around it — free, powerful and outdoors at every hour of the day, with a palette that leans chestnut, black and the green-grey of a pasture. Those are the three things that decide whether a wallpaper works on a real device, and every image below was checked against all three. We also keep the metadata honest: the resolution listed is the resolution you download, the colours are sampled from the file itself, and the licence and the author travel with the picture.

Every picture below was checked for resolution, framing and compression artefacts before it was published, so what you download is the version you saw in the thumbnail. Open any card to see the full metadata, the licence and the download link.

The images are ordered by how recently they were added rather than by popularity, which keeps the collection fresh and gives every single entry a chance to be discovered by search engines and by image browsers.

All of the files are served from our own domain, which means they load fast, they can be indexed by Google Images and Bing Images, and they stay available even if the original source moves the file.

The collection currently includes, among others, The horse in the stable and the field, The horse in the stable and the field 2, The horse in the stable and the field 3.
