Cookie policy
This page lists every cookie and similar technology Free HD Wallpapers uses, who sets it, what it is for and how long it lasts. If you have already made a choice, the banner will not appear again.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. Similar technologies — local storage, tracking pixels and device identifiers — do the same job in a different way. Together they let a site remember a page you visited, or measure how an advert performed.
None of them can read the files on your device, and each one only works on the domain that set it, unless you visit another site from the same company.
What this site uses
Strictly necessary: one entry in your browser storage records your cookie choice, the version of it and the date you made it, so we do not ask you again on every page. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, sets its own security cookie (__cf_bm) to detect automated traffic. These are active from the very first page and cannot be switched off.
Advertising: only if you accept them, Adsterra and its partners store identifiers and local storage entries in order to serve advertising, count impressions and clicks, limit how often you see the same advert and, where you have not objected, target advertising to your interests. If you reject them, none of these is ever created.
We do not use analytics cookies, we do not run Google Analytics and we do not build advertising profiles of our own.
Who sets them
Advertising cookies are set by Adsterra, the network we work with, from its own domains: bellnewyork.org, nresystems.com and show-sb.com. Adsterra acts as an independent controller for that data and publishes its own policy: Adsterra privacy policy.
Cloudflare Inc. provides the hosting and the security layer and acts as a separate controller for the server logs and for the security cookie it sets.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else.
How long they last
Your consent choice stays in your browser until you clear it. The Cloudflare security cookie lasts a few hours and is renewed automatically on each visit. The advertising identifiers set by the ad network have their own lifespans, usually from a few days to a few months, and are refreshed while you browse.
How to control them
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you clear the storage, the site will ask for your choice again on the next visit.
You can also opt out of personalised advertising for the networks we use at Your Online Choices and at AboutAds.
Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all let you review, block and delete cookies per site, and all of them offer a private window that does not keep them between visits.
Changing your choice
Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer at any time to accept, reject or change your preferences. The page reloads straight away so that any advertising already on screen is removed without delay.
