Misty Lake 2 forest lake wallpaper Full HD

This is Misty Lake 2, a warm forest lake wallpaper built around sand and charcoal tones. The frame is composed for 4:3, which is why it reads well on phone without pushing the subject out of shot.

Everything you can see is part of the original file: 1920 × 1280 pixels in JPG (169 KB). Nothing is upscaled, and the colours were sampled straight from the picture, so what you download is what you saw in the grid.

The palette leans towards sand and charcoal, and that makes it easy to build an interface around it. A calming home screen works particularly well here, because the tones never fight with whatever you put in front of them.

How to use it

To use it, download the file, open it on your device and choose the option to set it as the background. If your system crops the edges, use the 4:3 version from the collection or turn the zoom off so the full frame stays visible.

Small details that help

• Pair it with a low-contrast wallpaper on your phone so that app icons remain readable over the busiest part of the image.
• Pair it with a system accent colour that matches sand and charcoal so the wallpaper and the interface read as one design instead of two.
• For a dual-monitor setup, use this one on the screen you read from and a flatter image on the screen you only glance at.

What you get

The download is a 1920 × 1280 JPG image in 4:3 ratio (169 KB). Use it on a phone, print it at up to 16 × 9 in, or crop it for a post: the source resolution gives you room to crop without losing quality.
